After much excited anticipation, as of next week (w/c 21st April)Â weâll be in our new offices in the brand new Ponderosa Business Park in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire.
Weâll be one of the first tenants to move into this unique purpose built office park which is set in rural surroundings. The park is part of a multi million pound project to re-generate the Heckmondwike area and has recently won the award âBest Commercial Industrial Developmentâ in Yorkshire.
In time the complex will feature a state-of-the art health club, a wine bar, café and restaurant. How cool is that?
So, as from Monday the 21st April 2008, Keyclicks will have relocated from its current Cleckheaton head office location to the following address:
Keyclicks UK Limited
Unit 6F
Ponderosa Business Park
Smithies Lane
Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire, WF16 0PR
Our current â01274â phone numbers will change to:
Tel: 01924 400 530
Fax: 01924 405 273
Please update your address book, mobile phones and Outlook contacts etc.
If youâre coming to see us, the following link to a Multimap map may help you (Google Maps has us the other side of Heckmondwike to where we actually are, so donât use that).
This Multimap link isn’t entirely accurate, being a few hundred yards off, but at least it has us on the correct road.
Hey ho!

We work hard at what we do and take pride in every project we deliver to our clients.
So being human, it gives us a warm feeling inside when someone says âthanksâ or âwe love your workâ. Whether this acknowledgement is conveyed to us in simple email or attached to a bunch of flowers it matters not and makes us realise that everything in life is worthwhile.
Such an acknowledgement was received this week in the form of a simple card from one of our long standing clients whom we do ad-hoc work for, who thanked us for the work we have recently done for her company.
The gesture wasnât expensive (the cost of a card and a stamp as can be seen from the pic above) â but it makes us feel good and you get bet your bottom-dollar the next time this client wants some work doing, weâll give her more value than she pays for and in double quick time.
We are only human after all and given the nature of our industry, we have some big egos to massage.
Happy days!

Today I spent some time trawling the web with my âbuyerâs hatâ on looking for a company that provides the music/marketing message-on-hold type of products for our telephone system.
Usually we source suppliers for our business either based upon recommendation or from a client/existing supplier or networking associate; however this time no suitable recommendations were forthcoming. So like many companies looking for new suppliers, in my quest I turned to the web.

Would you lease your company website from its designer?
In our daily travels across the web weâve come across one of our competitors who are prepared to lease websites to their clients.
On the face of it the concept of âwebsite leasingâ sounds a good idea.
From the clientâs point of view it means they get a large, complex and potentially costly website for their business for a small monthly fee without the outlay of a large amount of capital. This is great if your cash flow is tight or if youâre a new start-up with a limited budget. As such we can understand why the idea might sound attractive to some companies.
However, we believe that whilst the âleasingâ concept works fine for commodity capital equipment such as company cars, IT equipment or office furniture; the âleasingâ idea has some inherent flaws as a method funding a web development project.
If youâre a business contemplating leasing your next website, hereâs some food for thought.

Are you a BT Broadband user and having problems sending emails? Then you’re not alone…
If you use BT as your ISP you may experience problems sending emails from accounts which use domain names that are hosted independently to BT (such as the ones that we host for you and that are associated with your Keyclicks email accounts).
To resolve this issue you will need âOpen Mail Relayâ setting up on your BT account. To do this you will need to contact BT’s Technical Support people and request to have “mail relay” set up on your domain(s).
This basically means that BT will add your non-BT hosted domain names on to their “allowed list”. That is to say, BT will then permit you to send emails using your domains through the BT network.
Sounds complicated we know, but it isn’t really.
You can read more about âOpen Mail Relayâ on BTâs website here. Under the heading Related articles click on the link: How can I set up mail relay?
